A computer virus is program that infects a computer by attaching itself to another program, and propagating itself when that program is executed.

Mostly, computers are infected via email. Also computers can be infected by downloading a file from a web site or program files on a floppy disk.

"Detecting a virus" means to check whether the attached file is infected by a virus or not.

"Deleting a virus" means to remove the infected attached file from the message. Please note that the removed file cannot be restored.

Yes. All messages sent and received via a SpinNet mail server are checked.

Yes. All messages forwarded via a SpinNet mail server is checked.

All emails you send and receive go through the SpinNet mail server and are automatically checked.

The system of Kaspersky is chosen.

10. Does the software detect and disinfect all viruses?
Only viruses which the pattern file on our server detects are disinfected. This virus pattern file is frequently updated; however, this service can not completely guarantee to detect or disinfect every virus since new viruses might be created at anytime.

11. Does the virus check server check for viruses coming through other than emails?
The virus check server checks for viruses only coming through emails.

12. What is the difference between the anti-virus software for individual users and the Mail Virus Check Service?
The Mail Virus Check Service uses the most up-to-date pattern file available to check the mail in the system. The anti-virus software installed on your computer needs to be updated manually. Also, this service does not depend on your system environment, such as the mail software you use.

13. Do I have to configure my computer for all my incoming and outgoing mail to be checked?
No. All emails which are sent and received from our mail servers are automatically checked.

14. What does SpinNet Mail Virus Check Service do with sending email with a Digital Signature?
A Digital Signature becomes invalid, if a virus is detected with Mail Virus Check Service.

15. What does SpinNet Mail Virus Check Service do with encrypted emails?
Encrypted emails cannot be decoded by our virus check server so viruses in these types of messages cannot be detected.

16. Is the system able to detect viruses if a sender breaks the email into parts?
Yes, it is detected but the server cannot identify which parts were meant to be together. Therefore, infected part(s) is disinfected or deleted, and uninfected parts are sent normally.

17. In case of infection or sustain damage from the virus, how do you clarify the locus of responsibility?
We are afraid that SpinNet is not liable for any special, consequential, indirect or similar damage, including any lost profits or lost data arising out of the use or misuse of the computer

If you are really willing to stop the service, you need to request to stop the service from Users' Information change menu.

It is not possible to confirm with the mail virus check service.

There is a possibility that your PC has been infected by the virus.

21. How can I check the original email?
If you have not unsubscribe from Mail Virus Check Service, then you should do so, and then the email needs to be resent by the sender.

Once the attachment is deleted by Mail Virus Check Service, it cannot be retrieved.

You cannot avoid Virus Alert Mails unless you unsubscribe.

24. The email I sent was not received by the recipient, what has happened to it?
It is possible that the email you sent was infected by a virus that was detected by Mail Virus Check Service. If it was unable to be disinfected the infected attachment was removed and the mail was returned to sender.
