1.
Double click on "My Computer" and "Control Panel", and "Network and Dial-up Connections". Then, please double click on "Make New Connection".

Enter the followings:
[Type a name for the computer you are dialing:] SpinNet
[Select a device:] Select your modem
Click on [Next(N) >] button

Enter the followings:
[Area Code(R):] area code of the Access Point Number [Telephone Number (T):] phone number of the Access Point Number [Country code (U):] Select [Japan (81)]
Click on [Next (N) >] button

Click on [Finish]

Double click on [SpinNet] icon

Click on [Properties] button.

Check [Use area code and Dialing Properties]
Check the information shown in[General] tab.
[Area Code:] area code for Access Point Number [Telephone Number:] phone number of Access Point Number [Country code:] Select [Japan (81)]

Click on [Networking] tab and check the following configuration:
[Type of Dial-Up Server:] PPP:Internet,Windows2000/NT, WindowsME
Click on [Dialing] tab and configure the followings:
Check on [This is the default Internet connection] Select [Always dial my default connection]
Check on [Enable idle disconnect]
Check on [Disconnect when connection may not be needed]
Click [OK] button

Select [SpinNet] from the pull down menu.
Confirm the settings as follows [User name:] Connect Login Name [Password:] Connect Password
No check on [Connect automatically]
Click on [Dial Properties]

Confirm and change the settings as follows:
[I am in this country/region:] Japan [Area code:] area code of your location
[To access an outside line:] If you need to dial a certain number to access an outside line to make a phone call from the number where you are at now, please enter this number
[Dialing:] Choose [Tone dial] or [Pulse dial] If you are using a touch tone phone select Tone dial, if not, then select Pulse dial.
[Number to be dialed:] actual number to be dialed
Click [OK] button.

Confirm [Phone number:] and click on [Connect] (The shown number is the actual number that your PC is going to dial)
