Enforcement of a means for reducing unsolicited bulk e-mails
Thank you for using JENS SpinNet.
JENS SpinNet will start to implement "Outbound Port 25 Blocking" from June 1, 2006, as a means for reducing SPAM and viruses.
Recently, senders of SPAM have increasingly used mail servers other than those owned by the ISP they use to connect to the internet.
To stop SPAM sent by this method, Outbound Port 25 Blocking is used to prohibit access to an outgoing mail server other than the mail server of the provider that the user employs for the Internet connection.
In addition, JENS SpinNet will also provide "Submission Port 587" from June 15, 2006. Customers who connect to the Internet through other ISPs implementing "Outbound Port 25 Blocking" can send e-mails through JENS SpinNet outgoing mail server by setting up their e-mail software with "Submission Port 587" settings.
Customers will be prohibited to access other ISPs outgoing mail servers directly while connecting through JENS SpinNet.
Implementation schedule
Sequentially from June 1, 2006: Prohibit direct sending to a mobile phone mail server without using JENS SpinNet mail server.
From October 1, 2006: Prohibit all mail to be sent without using JENS SpinNet mail server.
Customers to be affected
