Upload Your Pages.
To upload your pages to the Web you need to have an ISP. If you don't already have an ISP, try SpinNet. Their User Homepage Service provides 50M bytes of disc space for your pages.
The next step after signing up for an ISP, is to get a File Transfer Program (FTP). An FTP is what gets your pages onto the Web. Without one, your site is forever doomed to remain in your computer.
You have all the stuff and are now ready to rumble. First, you have to connect to whichever Internet Service provider you are using. I won't explain how to connect to the Internet, because if you didn't already know how, you wouldn't be reading this!
Once you're connected to the Internet, start up your FTP software. First, check that your personal log-in details are correct.
Below examples are for SpinNet Users.
FTP Explorer Example
Select Connect to open your FTP window.
Ws_ftp95.exe Example
Select Okay to open your FTP window. The left side of this screen (Local System) shows your hard disc, and the right side of the screen (Remote System) shows the server to be uploaded.
Users of our User Homepage Service can get more information on uploading your page here. Also, read up on available FTP's by clicking on the links in the yellow box above. *If you are having trouble configuring your File Transfer Program to your Internet Service Provider, you should contact them and they will take you through the steps you need to take.
